Thom Yorke Appearing At Environmental Documentary Premiere

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke is to perform after a panel discussion that will include former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Anan and former X-Files star Gillian Anderson as part of the U.S. premiere of The Age Of Stupid, an "eco docudrama."

The Franny Armstrong-directed film will premiere on Sept. 21 and will be followed by the panel discussion, which will finish with Yorke playing an acoustic version of the film's title track, according to Paste magazine. The film takes place in 2055 and is told by an environmental activist played by Pete Postlethwaite (Romeo + Juliet, The Usual Suspects).

The premiere is being dubbed The Age Of Stupid LIVE From New York and is screening at select theatres. More information is available here.

Yorke could also release two new tracks next month. TwentyFourBit reports a limited edition 12-inch single containing the songs "Apart By Horses" and "The Hollow Earth" will be released Sept. 22. Only 4,000 copies of the single will be available in North America, and only 300 of those will be found in Canadian stores.

Yorke is also to appear on Twilight sequel New Moon's soundtrack.
