Kurt Cobain In Guitar Hero 5

Guitar Hero 5 will give you the opportunity to be Kurt Cobain when the game hits stores on Sept. 1. And you won't reek of unwashed hair and stinky squatter jeans because it'll all be digital.

Players will be able to get into character with a Cobain avatar when you play Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Lithium."

Uh, does anyone remember just how much Cobain hated "Smells Like Teen Spirit"? This seems really, really ironic.

Cobain isn't the only musician to get an avatar in the game. The late Johnny Cash and Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson will also be playable characters.
