The Beatles' "A Day In The Life," from 1967's Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, has topped a Rolling Stone magazine reader's poll of the top Beatles songs of all time.

Rubber Soul's "In My Life" came in second place, while the George Harrison-penned "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," from the band's 1968 self-titled release that's better known as the White Album, rounds out the top three. "Hey Jude" and "Helter Skelter" came in at fourth and fifth.

September looks to be a month filled with Beatles-related releases. The Beatles: Rock Band video game comes out Sept. 9, which is the same day The Beatles catalogue will be reissued. Rumours about The Beatles' catalogue coming to iTunes have also been reignited.

Here is Rolling Stone magazine's list of the top Beatles songs:

1. "A Day In The Life"
2. "In My Life"
3. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
4. "Hey Jude"
5. "Helter Skelter"
6. "Here Comes The Sun"
7. "I Saw Her Standing There"
8. "Strawberry Fields Forever"
9. "Across The Universe"
10. "I Am The Walrus"
11. "Something"
12. "Ticket To Ride"
13. "Revolution"
14. "Paperback Writer"
15. "Let It Be"
