New Pornographer's Film Screening At TIFF

New Pornographers keyboardist Blaine Thurier's film, A Gun To The Head, will screen at the Toronto International Film Festival next month.
Thurier wrote and directed the film, which is about a reformed criminal who risks becoming re-entrenched in a life of crime one night when he goes out for a beer.
Thurier isn't the only musician who will screen a film at TIFF. Neil Young will be in Toronto on Sept. 14 for the North American premiere of The Neil Young Trunk Show, the Jonathan Demme-directed (The Silence Of The Lambs, Philadelphia) film about Young's stage show. Young could also possibly play a free set at Yonge-Dundas Square that evening.
Joan Baez will also be on hand at Yonge-Dundas Square four days later for the world premiere of the new American Masters - Joan Baez documentary.
The White Stripes' cross-Canada tour documentary The White Stripes: Under The Great White Northern Lights will also be debuting at TIFF.
