Charlatans U.K. Nix North American Tour

The Charlatans U.K. have cancelled their upcoming North American tour because drummer Jon Brookes needs shoulder surgery.

Charlatans U.K. were to play shows throughout the United States and Canada beginning Sept. 17. Ticket refunds are available at point of purchase, and it's not known whether the tour will be rescheduled after Brookes gets his shoulder fixed.

This is the second NME buzz band from the mid-'90s to go down this week. Placebo also had to cancel their North American tour because singer Brian Molko has become some sort of sponge for viral disease.
