Neverending White Lights' Perfectionism Means No New Album 'Til 2010

Don't hold your breath — it's going to be a while longer before Daniel Victor is ready to release the third Neverending White Lights album.
According to a recent MySpace blog entry, Victor won't be finished the record until 2010.
"Though I tried relentlessly to finish this thing proper and with full intention to release it to you this fall, that simply won't be happening," wrote Victor. "It's difficult, after all these months, and the past two years, to say that this record won't surface until 2010, but that's what has happened.
"I refuse to put something out just for the sake of it. It has to be just right. I believe I'm one of the few artists out there (at least penetrating the mainstream, in one country anyway) who still has the need to bleed for a record. To take every note, stroke, and nuance so very serious. To the point where its just worn me down.
"My records are epic. Layered. And with much attention to detail. I refuse to let that stop just to hurry something out." The need to bleed? Maybe Victor would be better off trying for a role in Twilight — he's already got the look. Then he'd have all eternity to put the finishing touches on his record.
The man who RPatz stole his haircut from has said that the third album will be a darker, more electronic affair, or as folks in the Chart office are calling it, Act III: Music For Less Masses.
Victor will continue to record this fall and plans to release a single in the new year in advance of the album. The goth rocker will post at least two new tracks on his MySpace page in the upcoming months.
