Creed Frontman Says New Album Has "Sexiness"

Creed are sexy.

At least, that's what frontman Scott Stapp would have us believe.

The denim 'n' wifebeaters wearing quartet have ended a six-year hiatus and will soon release a reunion album that — according to Stapp — oozes "sex appeal."

For their fifth studio album, titled Full Circle, Creed decided to can their old rule about not recording any tracks that they weren't able to replicate live.

"We know we can hire a guy to play piano or another electric guitar, and while I think we have this massively produced record with all these sounds on it, it's also a raw, edgy, guitar-driven rock album with some sex appeal," Stapp told MTV.com.

The "really sexy" Full Circle was recorded before Creed's current summer tour, and was produced by Howard Benson (Hoobastank, Daughtry).

Stapp described the new album's 15 tracks as some of the heaviest ever released by Creed.

"But it also has a groove," he said. "A sexiness to it. If you're driving down the street and you've got your arm on the steering wheel, no matter what the song is, you can move your head to it."

Since the group disbanded in 2004, Stapp released a solo album and the remaining three members — guitarist Mike Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott "Flip" Phillips — released two albums under the name Alter Bridge with vocalist Myles Kennedy.

Full Circle is set for an October release. First single "Overcome" will make its radio debut this week. The track is now streaming in all its Christian sexual glory on the band's website and will be available for purchase on iTunes on Aug. 25.
