Toronto all-female rockers Magneta Lane will release their third album, Gambling With God, through new label Last Gang Records on Sept. 15.
The follow-up to 2005's Dancing With Daggers was recorded and produced by Jon Drew (Tokyo Police Club, Arkells). You can hear first single "Lady Bones" and "September Came" on Magneta Lane's MySpace page.
"[Gambling With God] is about finding out exactly where you want to go and getting there without stopping for anything — but taking those things that matter along the way," says singer/guitarist Lexi Valentine. "It's also about power, strength and heart. And being honest with yourself. The sound is hopeful, bright, and at peace with life's twists and turns."
Valentine formed Magneta Lane in 2003 with bassist French and drummer Nadia King. Their The Constant Lover debut album came out a year later and was followed by Dancing With Daggers in 2005.
Here are the songs on Gambling With God:
"Lady Bones"
"Violet's Constellations"
"House Of Mirrors"
"Castles"
"September Came"
"Bloody French"
"Love And Greed"
"Gambling With God"
"All The Red Feelings"
"Queen Of Hearts"
