Radiohead's "These Are My Twisted Words," the mystery track that appeared on the internet last week, is now available for free download on the band's website.
The song is indeed new, since guitarist Jonny Greenwood wrote that the band had been recently recording and "These Are My Twisted Words" was "one of the first [tracks] we finished.
"We're pretty proud of it," he continued.
"There's other stuff in various states of completion, but this is one we've been practicing, and which we'll probably play at this summer's concerts."
Radiohead said they were recording the follow-up to 2007's In Rainbows earlier this year. But frontman Thom Yorke recently said an eighth studio album wouldn't be in stores any time soon and the band were more likely to release EPs and singles in the future.
Rumours the band would release an EP called Wall Of Ice on Monday were rampant last week after "These Are My Twisted Words" showed up online. Its accompanying "artwork" featured the words "Wall Of Ice" repeatedly with an Aug. 17 release date. Rumours really took off after Radiohead super-fans discovered wallofice.com redirects to W.A.S.T.E., Radiohead's official store.
As yet, no Wall Of Ice EP has surfaced.
