Suddenly prolific Toronto rapper D-Sisive will be releasing another album, titled Jonestown, on Nov. 18, 2009 — not coincidentally the 31st anniversary of the Jonestown Massacre.
The album follows hot on the heels of the Polaris Music Prize long list-nominated Let The Children Die and his 2008 comeback EP, The Book.
"There's gonna be some dissing," says D-Sisive, of the album's content. "This is my angry record for everyone who called me an emo rapper."
The album, which is said to be composed entirely of freestyle disses, will be released for free digitally in a yet-to-be determined manner. The first single, "Four," which features D ranting over the Slim Twig instrumental "Alley Spying" can be found at his MySpace page.
The album release is expected to anchor a traveling rap revival of sorts that will feature D-Sisive as a Jim Jones-like preacher.
Also, D-Sisive would like everyone to know that contrary to rumours, he hasn't actually committed suicide.
