Crystal Castles vocalist Alice Glass reportedly suffered a concussion after she was kicked in the head by riot police at the Hard Summer Fest in Inglewood, Calif. this weekend.
Police broke up the show at Inglewood's Forum, which was attended by 18,000 people, after fans started jumping from balcony seats onto the floor. It's unclear how or when Glass was injured, since the event was broken up before any of the acts took the stage, according to the Los Angeles Times.
"been in the hospital all day, Alice has concussion from being kicked in the head by riot police." Crystal Castles DJ Ethan Kath said in an email to the Street Carnage website, according to The Daily Swarm. (The quotes containing the text of the email have since been removed from the website.)
"i have to wake her up every 2 hours and ask her to tell me the date and her name."
Nothing else is known about Glass' condition at the moment, nor whether it's affected any upcoming Crystal Castles shows.
Crystal Castles, Underworld, Chromeo and Tiga were among the acts slated to play Hard Summer Fest. Ticketholders can get refunds from Ticketmaster, Groovetickets and the Forum box office.
