Eagles Of Death Metal's Jesse Hughes might just be the coolest guy on the planet. He has money, women and a horseshoe mustache rivaled only by the great and powerful Lemmy.

But Hughes wasn't always a hard rockin' chick magnet. In a 10-minute mini-doc that's part of whatweseeiswhatyouget.com's Live From Toronto series, Hughes revealed his nerdy past to filmmakers James Featherstone and Luke Ludgate.

"Girls didn't have sex with me on purpose in high school. Every day," said Hughes. "I just was a weird kid — I was really into what I was into, I was an honour's student. ...I didn't have many friends at all. [Bandmate] Joshua Homme was one of my only friends. So now that I have the opportunity to corral girls into one spot, I really appreciate it."

The Hughes doc was filmed before the Eagles Of Death Metal show at Toronto's Kool Haus on Aug. 2. In the doc, Hughes talks about his pre-EODM days, explains EODM's philosophy and addresses his sexual side.

"I'm horny son-of-a-bitch," says Hughes. "It normally takes the audience by surprise at first, because when we show up it's like, 'Oh, they're really horny. Oh. OK.' Instead of, 'You guys look like a good bunch of guys.'

"That's what I am, a hopeful romantic. Hopeful that tonight I'll get laid," says Hughes.

"I have the best job in the world," says Hughes, "so I'm lovin' it every day."
