This wet, rainy summer has finally done something good for Canadians.
Nickelback were forced to postpone their Toronto show that was to be held on Sunday night at the city's Molson Amphitheatre after a thunder storm took hold of the city.
Opening bands Saving Abel, Papa Roach and Hinder had already played their sets when it began raining and storming at around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday night. Nickelback were due to take the stage at 8:50 p.m., but their set was delayed due to lightning and fans were asked to vacate the Amphitheatre's lawn seating section.
Winds raged, rain drenched the city and lightning light up Toronto's skies for over an hour during the storm. The Toronto Sun reports that by the time it was 10 p.m., organizers decided to cancel Nickelback's set because the Molson Amphitheatre has an 11 p.m. curfew. The show will be rescheduled for a later date and fans are asked to hold on to their tickets.
