Kid Rock Helps Injured Pizza Man

Kid Rock has given an Ohio pizza delivery man who was robbed and beaten last month a cheque for $1,500 U.S. (about $1,600 Canadian)
Harry Colyer, 28, was nearly killed in the attack and was reportedly beaten so badly that he was left needing reconstructive face surgery. He also now has a hole in his neck because doctors had to insert a tube into his neck so he could breathe while they fixed his face.
Kid Rock reportedly read about his plight while he was in Cincinnati for a show on July 22 and sent Colyer the cheque.
"I didn't expect it and didn't ask for it, but it was certainly a very nice thing to do," Colyer told the Cincinnati Enquirer.
The newspaper reports Rock declined to comment on his donation. His spokesperson, Nick Stern, told the Associated Press Rock "likes to quietly help people in need."
Colyer was attacked from behind by a brick and two-by-four on July 20 while he was delivering pizzas. He is a nursing student and had been delivering to pizzas to pay for his classes and car. As a result of the attack, Colyer can't work and will not be well enough to start classes this month.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports both of Colyer's cheekbones were broken, his nose was broken and crushed, his sinus cavity also had to be repaired, he has hearing loss in his left ear and metal plates were inserted behind his right eye.
A 20-year-old man and two teenagers have been charged over the attack.
"I've gotten up and gone to work every day since I was 16," Colyer told the Cincinnati Enquirer. "I can't go to school. I can't even sit and focus on television too long without getting a headache. They've taken — for a period of time — my entire life."
In other news, Rock still thinks Twitter is gay.
