The lineup for this year's Canadian Music Cafe, taking place Sept. 15 to 17, has been announced.
The Cafe, which will be held in conjunction with the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival, will feature performances from Stars' Amy Millan, Arkells and Ruby Jean And The Thoughtful Bees. Rock, pop, hip-hop, country, dance and jazz artists will showcase their tunes daily from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Hard Rock Cafe near Yonge-Dundas Square.
The Cafe is an initiative to showcase Canadian talent to music and film execs from Canada and around the world.
"Once again, we are thrilled at the breadth and depth of Canadian talent that applied to the Cafe, demonstrating the excitement that Canadian artists have for this event," says coordinator Michael Perlmutter.
"We have confirmed 12 music supervisors from the U.S. — the most in the Cafe's five-year history."
Previous Canadian Music Cafe performers include Martha Wainwright, City And Colour and The Midway State.
