Liam And Lily: Drunk Duo

Airplane passengers aren't always the most courteous of people.

There's always the kid (or oversized 40-year-old kid) who insists on kicking your chair, the elderly lady who leans her seat back just far enough to trap your legs in a grip of death, or the mustachioed guy beside you who tries to cop a feel while pretending to be asleep.

But Oasis singer/guitarist Liam Gallagher and Lily Allen may have outdone even the most bothersome of flightmates on July 22, when they spent an 11-hour flight to Japan boozing instead of snoozing.

Gallagher and Allen were traveling in the upper class section of a Virgin Atlantic flight to Japan, where they were to perform at the Fuji Rocks Festival.

Gallagher got on the plane after drinking champagne at Heathrow Airport's Upper Class Lounge in London, England, and a source told British tabloid The Sun the pair "were already well-oiled by the time they came on board."

Allen and Gallagher began their bender as soon as the plane took off and continued drinking for hours after the plane landed.

Both stars' entourages — who filled approximately half of the seats in Upper Class — had told plane staff to "keep those two apart." Their wishes were ineffectual, though — according to the source, the duke and duchess of drunken debauchery "did not care about the other passengers. They were in a world of their own." Crew members repeatedly told the duo, who were cursing and shouting, to "calm down."

This really wouldn't have been an issue if Oasis had just bought that private jet.

Gallagher was banned for life from Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific airline 10 years ago after travellers on a flight from Hong Kong to Perth, Australia complained he and Oasis smoked, swore and threw things at crew members and passengers. The captain threatened to divert the plane and force the group and their 30-member entourage to disembark, and said police would be waiting for them when they landed.

Following their arrival, Gallagher wrote on his Twitter that he had "Just landed in Tokyo. That flight flew by."

"at Lost in Translation hotel in tokyo," Allen tweeted. "Had an extraordinary amount of fun the past few days."

When The Sun spoke to the "Alfie" singer at her West London home, however, she responded, "I don't know what you are talking about."

Lily Allen launched a line of jewelry July 27. She accidentally fell out of her dress at the event, which was held in at London, England's Claridges hotel.
