The Young Veins Exist

Panic! At The Disco's Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith may have been able to keep their old band name, but ex-members Ryan Ross and Jon Walker got a shiny new one.

The duo are recording as The Young Veins, and have posted a track on their recently launched (read: nearly bare) MySpace page.

The song is called "Change," and while it's more Jack-White-lite than the polished pop Urie and Smith have released so far, a heavy Beatles influence seems to be the common factor between both bands.

A brief blog on The Young Veins' MySpace reveals that Ross and Walker are "currently in the studio finishing up our first album."

"We're going with the Young Veins," Ross wrote in an email to MTV News on Monday. "I hope you'll check us out."

Ross and Walker initially considered calling their project "The Guts," but decided that the name was "too punk."

"New Perspective," Panic! At The Disco's first song as a two-man band, will be used in the upcoming Megan Fox horror flick Jennifer's Body.
