Koala And Wolfmother Make The Slew

Kid Koala will tour North America with two of Wolfmother's former members this fall.
Koala (real name Eric San) met former Wolfmother keyboardist Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett and played them tracks from his ill-fated documentary soundtrack with hip-hop producer Dynomite D.
Koala put the tunes away after the project fell apart, but Ross and Heskett were apparently so impressed by them that they'll tour with Koala this fall on a jaunt dubbed The Slew: Live.
Koala's most recent album is 2006's Your Mom's Favorite DJ. Hewett and Ross left Wolfmother last year, citing "irreconcilable differences."
Kid Koala will play solo shows at Trout Lake, Wash.'s Trailhead Bread & Breakfast as part of the Photosynthesis Festival on Aug. 9 and at Portland, Ore.'s Doug Fir Lounge on Sept. 2.
