Golden Dogs Get New Bassist, Guitarist

The Golden Dogs have acquired some new members.

Bassist Dave Dalrymple and guitarist James Robertson accompanied singer/guitarist Dave Azzolini, singer/keyboardist Jessica Grassia and drummer Taylor Knox on their recent American tour and are now part of the band's lineup.

"These first shows with the new unit were fun and furious," Grassia wrote in a July 22 MySpace blog entry. "Many laughs, one liners, questionable noises, and sing-alongs were shared on the journey."

The Golden Dogs are working on the follow-up to 2006's Big Eye Little Eye. It's not known whether Dalrymple or Robertson will appear on the as-yet-untitled disc. It will be out when they think it's good enough.

You can see The Golden Dogs at Toronto's Dakota Tavern with Zeus on Wednesday.
