Panic! At The Disco's New Perspective

Remaining Panic! At The Disco members Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith aren't taking time out to mourn the departure of former members Ryan Ross and Jon Walker, who left the band earlier this month.

Urie and Smith have posted a new track called "New Perspective" on their MySpace page. It's the first song they've released as a duo.

"New Perspective" moves away from the band's previous brand of emo-snark. It's a smooth pop tune, with vocal harmonies, clean guitars, and laid-back drumming — possibly influenced by the Beatles?

Those hoping to find digs at Ross and Walker in the track will be disappointed, however. PATD posted the lyrics to the song in a recent MySpace blog entry, and there don't seem to be any fightin' words. How gentlemanly!

Panic At The Disco shot the video for "New Perspective" this past weekend. The now two-member band will continue to perform as openers on the Blink-182 reunion tour.

In the meantime, Ross and Walker have announced their new act will be called The Young Veins.

Ross told MTV News about the name on Tuesday, and said they were considering calling themselves The Guts, but that was too punk. (The Get Up Kids are laughing somewhere.)

The Young Veins also released their first single, the appropriately titled "Change," on their MySpace page on Tuesday.

Ka-pow! Insert duelling guitars here. Oh, wait. That's too metal.
