Slipknot Creating "Sic" Reissue

In June 1999, a nine-member metal band from the burgeoning metropolis of Des Moines, Iowa released their debut album. The self-titled record, Slipknot, went double-platinum in the U.S. and was the band's best-selling album.

A decade and three studio albums later, the Grammy Award-winning masked men will release a special CD/DVD edition of their first full-length called Of The (Sic): Your Nightmares, Our Dreams on Sept. 9 through Roadrunner Records.

The 25-track Of The (Sic) commemorates the 10th anniversary of Slipknot's first release, and features the original album with rare demos, remixes, B-sides, and a companion documentary.

The hour-long film, directed by Slipknot percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan, includes previously unreleased behind-the-scenes footage of the band shot during 1999, live and backstage video from concerts around the world, and a never before seen live concert from the Dynamo Open Air Festival in the Netherlands in 2000. The DVD also includes music videos for "Wait And Bleed" (both the original and animated versions) and "Spit It Out."

You'll also be able to purchase a deluxe collector's edition of the package titled Slipknot — 10 Years Of Life Death Love Hate Pain Scars Victory War Blood And Destruction, which consists of the 10th anniversary CD/DVD, a T-shirt, collector's cards, a patch, and a key chain.

Slipknot will host and headline a one-day, two-stage festival in Des Moines ithe day the CD/DVD is released. The festival's second stage will exclusively feature local bands. More info will be announced shortly.
