50 Cent will provide you with business tips this fall, while
RZA will give you advice on spiritual matters.
The man born
Curtis Jackson will release
The 50th Law, a business guide co-written with Robert Greene, in September through Profile Books. According to Billboard.com, it features chapters on "Turn Shit Into Sugar-Opportunism" and "Hood Economics."
We wonder just how much Fiddy borrowed from Pimpin' Ken's
Pimpology: The 48 Laws Of The Game in writing this book...
An audio version of the book will also be released, which will feature narration from both authors. That's
almost as good as better than
Before I Self Destruct. Hey, when is that coming out again?
"Those who dismiss 50 Cent as a gangster should rethink: his continued presence in the Forbes Rich List and entrepreneurial nous show there is a lot more to the man than his music," Andrew Franklin, publisher of Profile Books, told Billboard.com.
Waaaait. Did he miss the part where Fiddy said he'd
lost millions of dollars last year?
Before I Self Destruct is now scheduled to drop Sept. 29.
RZA's entirely different book,
The Tao Of Wu, will be released through Riverhead Books on Oct. 20.
Allhiphop.com reports the book is about RZA's (real name
Robert Fitzgerald Diggs) "own personal journey to enlightenment" and he uses lyrics, anecdotes and parables to explain how his spiritual growth was inspired by Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam and... Bruce Lee. Come on, you had to figure a marital arts reference was in there somewhere, right?
The book examines seven "Pillars Of Wisdom" which RZA says are "key turning points" in his life that he wants to share with readers.
RZA released his fourth solo album,
Digi Snacks, under his Bobby Digital alias last year. He's also producing the follow-up to Raekwon's classic
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... solo debut,
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II, which is due out Sept. 8.

In fact, Pimpin' Ken's book is an homage to Robert Greene's original The 48 Laws of Power - regarded by hip hop royalty as the bible on power and strategy. And of course Robert Greene is 50 Cent's co-author on The 50th Law - the book is a remix you might say, of how the laws of the street relate to the boardroom. As for 50 Cent's millions - he says himself that it's better to be just short of the top - otherwise you lose the hunger and the edge to strive and improve.
