Chris Weitz, director of
Twilight sequel
New Moon, has confirmed
Radiohead frontman
Thom Yorke will
appear on the film's soundtrack.
Weitz told HitFix.com at the Comic-Con in San Diego on Thursday that Yorke had written a song for him, which he said he would listen to on Friday for the first time. It will almost certainly appear on the soundtrack.
"Unless it's sounds of him belching, I think I'll put it in," Weitz told the website.
This won't be the first time Radiohead's music has been used in the
Twilight franchise. "15 Step" plays during the end credits to last year's
Twilight. It does not, however, appear on the soundtrack.
Weitz also said Bon Iver will appear on the
New Moon soundtrack, since the man born Justin Vernon has also written something for the film.
"I selfishly want to put songs in by artists I love," Weitz said. "And some the cast and crew also happen to love.
"I think [Bon Iver] is fantastic. He says he wrote [the song] for the film, but who ever knows if it might just be something laying around in his cupboard."
Weitz said Band Of Skulls will also appear on the
New Moon soundtrack, and he still wants Kings Of Leon on it.
New Moon opens in theatres on Nov. 20.
