James Blunt Is A Humourless Twat

James Blunt

James Blunt is a serious artist, dammit.

He's more serious, in fact, than Queen, Joan Jett And The Blackhearts, Eminem and Michael Jackson (amongst others). Blunt is above being parodied by that menace to modern music, Weird Al Yankovic.

While Yankovic compiled a list of songs for his upcoming two-CD greatest hits compilation, he was notified by Blunt's people that he could not include "You're Pitiful," the reworked version of Blunt's "You're Beautiful," on the album.

Apparently Blunt feels Weird Al's butchered version of the original genius effort pokes fun at his career, and sent his manager after Yankovic.

Yankovic relayed the details to his fans on Tuesday via Twitter.

"In case you were hoping for 'You're Pitiful' to be included on my 'Essentials' collection," tweeted Yankovic, "sorry, this just in from Blunt's manager:/ 'Thanks for your email, but both James and I will never approve this parody to be released on any label.'"

Thanks but no thanks, eh? Well, guess what, James Blunt — the song's still out there, and you can download it here for free. Kapow!
