Assault Suspect Wore Protest The Hero Shirt

Talk about bad publicity.

A 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on Monday by a group of men — one of whom was allegedly wearing a Protest The Hero T-shirt, according to Strathmore, Alta. police.

Police say the girl was attacked in an alley behind the town's Co-op liquor store by three to five men in their mid-twenties, according to CBC News. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police were contacted about two hours after the alleged assault. The suspects left the scene in an older red muscle car with a faded, chipped paint job and silver primer on some parts of the car.

According to descriptions released by investigators, one suspect, a male about six feet with a muscular physique, had a buzzcut and tattoos on both arms.

A second, also around six feet and muscular, wore a white Protest The Hero T-shirt.

A third suspect, approximately five feet, six inches to six feet tall and muscular, had a buzzcut, a full tattoo on one arm and a star on the underside of the wrist of his other arm.

They may write songs about battles and bloodshed, but Protest The Hero aren't taking this real-life attack lightly. The Whitby, Ont. band reposted the story in a MySpace blog entry, saying "it ain't cool" and calling it "the shitiest [sic] promo eeeeever" — almost as shitty as this promo.
