Katy Bails On Katie Lawsuit

Remember when Katy Perry's lawyers threatened to sue Australian designer Katie Perry for using her own name on her line of loungewear? It seems the singer and her legal team have learned to spell since then, because the potential lawsuit has now been dropped.
Designer Perry claimed that singer Perry's lawyers sent her a cease and desist order last month, despite the difference in the spelling of the two names. In an unexpected move, the potential lawsuit was suddenly dropped one hour before it was scheduled to go to court in Canberra, Australia.
"I went to sleep last night worrying about this case and whether I was going to lose my business and now all that has changed," said Katie Perry. "Physically and mentally it's taken a huge toll.
"I've learnt a lot of lessons through this — mostly to stick to my guns. I still have to work tonight but I think I'll find time for a glass of champagne as well."
