Lightning Dust — the Black Mountain side project featuring that band's singer Amber Webber and drummer Joshua Wells — are streaming their new album, Infinite Light, on NPR.
The duo's sophomore album and follow-up to their 2007 self-titled debut is streaming on the website two weeks before its Aug. 4 release date through Jagjaguwar.
Wells told NPR Infinite Light uses a rhythm section more than its predecessor.
"We've always intended to heighten the dramatic tension in our music, and we've simply used a broader palette here," he said.
You can see Lightning Dust with Lost Lovers Brigade and Sipreano at Vancouver's Biltmore Cabaret on Aug. 27.
