Weezer have almost finished their upcoming as-yet-untitled seventh studio album.
An update posted on the band's website describes the album as "pretty close to a wrap (after a mild false start back in the spring," but states there is "still some work yet remaining to be done." Weezer have also been working on other studio recordings, but it's not yet known what they are.
No title or release date for the disc have been announced yet. The band are also planning to put out a "special non-physical release" later this year along with a deluxe edition of 1996's Pinkerton. It also doesn't have a release date just yet.
Weezer unexpectedly show up on the upcoming Sugar Ray album, Music For Cougars. Hang on just before you headdesk yourself because they aren't guesting, but rather Sugar Ray have covered their recorded but never released "Love Is The Answer." (OK, NOW you can headdesk yourself.)
