Dimmu Borgir Vans Shoes Up For Grabs

Symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir now have their own pair of Vans shoes.
That's pair, not pairs — only one set of custom sneaks have been made, to be unveiled and raffled off to a lucky winner at the San Diego Comic-Con being held July 22 to 26.
The shoes, created in conjunction with Nuclear Blast Records, are designed by Vans' Matt Shipman and feature Dimmu Borgir artwork.
"I have been a huge Nuclear Blast fan ever since the early-'90s and most of their now legendary death metal releases," Shipman says. "Being able to work with such a well-respected label and the black metal powerhouse Dimmu Borgir is an honour. I look forward to doing more projects with Vans and Nuclear Blast in the future."
"Finally we have a real special treat available for the true Dimmu fan!" says Dimmu Borgir guitarist Silenoz. "What other company in the world other than Vans could possibly do a Dimmu Borgir shoe justice? Wear it proud."
Comic-Con attendees who purchase Nuclear Blast merch at their booth — where the kicks will be on display — will be entered into the raffle. The winner will be announced at a later date.
There's no word on what materials were used in the creating of the shoe, though tanned goat innards and the preserved flesh of sacrificial virgins are up there.
You can see Dimmu Borgir at Kaliakra Stadium in Kavarna, Bulgaria on Aug. 15.
