Oasis were forced to deal with yet another stage invasion when a female fan stormed the stage on Thursday night during their set at the Benicassim Festival in Spain.
It's a good thing the woman didn't get anywhere near singer/guitarist Noel Gallagher since she reportedly wasn't too kind to security, who thankfully managed to tackle her.
"She ran on to the stage, punched and kicked security and even crawled under the stage," a source told Britain's Daily Star tabloid. "At first there were just two guys guarding the band but they called for back-up and in the end it took 10 burly bouncers to get rid of her."
Gallagher later called the band's set at the festival a "fuckin' waste of time" because of sound problems which plagued their set. He said the fans were the only thing that made it worth playing the gig. He obviously subtracted the crazy woman from the equation, of course.
"If it wasn't for those bloody kids it would've been a disaster," he wrote on his blog on Friday. "I really can't say enough about the crowd. Unbelievable behaviour. Special mention to the topless birds — what a welcome sight that was!
"The problem was... wait for it... yes! The fuckin' PA (public address system). It blew twice! And the monitor system blew twice! It's becoming a joke. And not a very funny one."
The joke wasn't just on Oasis — it was on the entire festival. Gallagher wrote on his blog on Sunday that the next two days of Benicassim were cancelled because of high winds and "a massive, massive fire on site."
A fan ran on stage about 45 minutes into Oasis' headlining set at last year's Virgin Festival in Toronto last September and shoved Gallagher into his amplifiers before he was tackled by security. The attack left Gallagher with injuries to his ribs and hip and forced Oasis to reschedule several dates.
