Thom Yorke On Twilight Soundtrack?

Thom Yorke
There's a good chance you'll be hearing a lot of 13-year-olds say something like this very soon:

"Hey, like, have you heard of this singer called Thom Yorke? 'Cause, like, he's on the Twilight soundtrack, and his song totally kicks ass. He's also in this band called, like, Radioface."

Yorke and Kings Of Leon are apparently in talks with Chris Weitz, director of Twilight sequel New Moon, to appear on its soundtrack.

"The criterion will still always be what's right for the movie at that given moment, but Thom Yorke is interested; we might, if we're very lucky, get Kings Of Leon to do something," Weitz told Rottentomatoes.com.

You might be hitting your head over this one, but please remember Radiohead once wrote a song called "We Suck Young Blood." Appearing on the soundtrack to a tween-targeted movie wouldn't be anything new for them, either, since "Talk Show Host" appeared on the soundtrack to 1996's Romeo + Juliet, which starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, and "Exit Music (For A Film)" (which Yorke wrote with the movie in mind and which later appeared on 1997's OK Computer) played over its end credits.

Kings Of Leon singer/guitarist Caleb Followill told Entertainment Weekly that the band haven't signed on to anything related to the soundtrack at the moment.

"I haven't had any time to write any music, we've been so busy," he said. "I would have to write a song in my hotel room, which I think we could do, but I don't know. As of right now I'm more focused on getting some rest and writing another album."
