Coldplay Set U.S. Digital Sales Record

Coldplay have become the first artists south of the 49th parallel to sell more than 1 million digital albums.

The band have sold 1.358 million digital albums in the United States. Those figures include digital downloads of Coldplay's four studio albums, a live album and an EP, according to NME.com.

Coldplay were also the first act to sell a million digital tracks, which they did after 2005's X&Y was released, according to Rollingstone.com.
