New York's They Might Be Giants have issued two children's educational albums in Here Come The ABCs and last year's Here Come The 123s. Now the band will put out Here Comes Science, another similar effort in a DVD/CD package.
The 19-track record is slated to come out Sept. 1 digitally and through Amazon.com via the Disney Sound label. A wider release is expected on Sept. 22.
According to fan site TMBW.net, song titles include "Cells," "Roy G. Biv," "Speed And Velocity," "My Brother The Ape" and "Why Does The Sun Really Shine?"
Details are still a bit sketchy on the DVD portion of Here Comes Science, but Hine Mizushima, who has worked with the band before on other videos, is reportedly involved.
And if that wasn't enough kids material, They Might Be Giants are also planning to release a special book/EP in November called Kids Go!. The release will feature a "dazzling four-color sing-along book" to go with songs on the CD. The band previously released a similar effort with Bed, Bed, Bed back in 2003.
