Melissa Auf Der Maur has been recovering from swine flu while Courtney Love and Eric Erlandson have been bickering about the use of the Hole moniker.

Love took to Twitter to speak out against Erlandson, in response to the guitarist’s comments in a Spin.com interview last week.

When Erlandson was asked what he thought of Love's plans to release her next album under the Hole name — possibly without him or former bassist Auf Der Maur — old Spin.com Love "signed a contract with me when we decided to break up the band, which was like 2002 or something, so I really don't have comment on it except that I know my part in that band.

"The way I look at it, there is no Hole without me. To put it blunt. Just on a business level."

Business or not, Love begs to differ. She posted several updates to her Twitter yesterday morning, affirming her self-proclaimed ownership of Hole and alluding to credit card bills Erlandson may be responsible for.

"uh I just hear that a former guitar player is saying i cant use my name for MY band, hes out of his MIND, he may want to check the trademark," she wrote in the first post.

"and his amex 'Disease Model Tour' Bills, and umm, lets see his 99 usage of that amex and his 01 usage of wow 298K? 198,000DOLLARS?" she continued in the second post.

"[Hole is] MY Band MY name and MY Tradmark he also might want to check his TAXES versus my redone Taxes on a bogus ssn, and talk to @Perezhilton's Crook CPA Accoutancy firm COUGHS then VOMITS< who pay themselves something liek 350,000 a week and then dump 38,ooo into shell corps," she finished in the third and fourth posts.

It looks like Love won't let a potential legal dispute get in the way of her album plans. She posted a photo to her Twitpic account yesterday that could be the cover art for her upcoming album — an ominous-looking black raven against a white background, with the caption "HOLE."

Auf Der Maur, who wondered what the point of a Hole reunion was after Love announced she was reviving the name last month, wrote on The Mark website on Wednesday that she came down with swine flu "somewhere between a video shoot in Vermont, a heavy metal concert in London, and my own musical showcase in Toronto" in June. Luckily, she's on a combination of naturopathic treatment and antibiotics and appears to be getting better.

All of Auf Der Maur's symptoms came on at once and she says they were "far more intense than I had ever experienced."

She went to the hospital, was diagnosed with a sinus infection and given antibiotics. They didn't make her better for days, and by late June she'd gotten short of breath.

"Suddenly, a week into my shortness of breath, it really hit: a roller coaster of fever spikes," she wrote.

"Over the course of 48 hours, my temperature went from 95 F to 101, and back again. It was a very strange feeling, being pulled back and forth between severe illness and feeling fine."

She was finally diagnosed with swine flu and takes solace in the fact that she's now immune to the virus.
