Tokyo Police Club have returned to Toronto and are taking a break before they get back together to start working on another batch of songs for their sophomore album.
The band have been recording the follow-up to last year's Elephant Shell in New York City.
"We're going to write for a while, and then return to New York in the fall to do some more recording," keyboardist Graham Wright wrote on the band's blog on Monday. "And then we'll be finished. Or, at least, thats the plan..."
There's a chance you might be able to hear some new Tokyo Police Club material at these shows:
July 24 Mississauga, ON @ Mississauga City Centre
Aug. 1 Jersey City, NJ @ Liberty State Park (All Points West Music & Arts Festival)
Aug. 9 Calgary, AB @ Canada Olympic Park (Virgin Festival Alberta)
Aug. 14-15 Newmarket, ON @ The White Rabbit
Aug. 29 Toronto, ON @ Canadian National Exhibition
