Amy Winehouse Gets Divorced

Oh, Amy... extended vay-cays never looked so good.

Amy Winehouse has been granted a divorce from Blake Fielder-Civil, whom she married in 2007.

According to the Associated Press, the former couple were not present in court Thursday morning when a judge granted their divorce petition at a Family Court hearing in London, England. The divorce will become final after six weeks and a day.

Fielder-Civil filed for divorce upon his release from prison in February, and claimed adultery on Winehouse's part. Winehouse was rumoured to have had a fling with former rugby-player-turned actor Josh Bowman in St. Lucia at the beginning of the year.

According to the divorce papers, Fielder-Civil stated that living with Winehouse was "intolerable." The singer acknowledged she had been unfaithful, and said she would not contest the divorce, according to the Associated Press.

Winehouse was reportedly seeking divorce from Fielder-Civil late last year.

Winehouse and music video production assistant Fielder-Civil met in a London bar in 2005 and were wed two years later. Six months into the marriage, Fielder-Civil was arrested on an assault charge and sent to prison.

The pair's infamous two-year union was rife with arrests, public disputes and substance abuse and wasn't exactly an ideal marriage. Winehouse's parents hate Fielder-Civil and blame him for turning their daughter on to drugs, while Fielder-Civil's parents don't think kindly of his ex-wife, either.

Hopefully Winehouse won't do what she always does after a spat with Fielder-Civil: give an interview where she says how much she loves him and wants him back!

Winehouse returned to the U.K. on Monday after an eight-month vacation in St. Lucia, where she was reportedly working on the follow-up album to 2006's Back To Black. Given the R&B singer's history, it's no surprise she's made a fuckery of her time away from home.

A divorce isn't the only mess Winehouse came home to — she allegedly left her St. Lucia apartment with £25,000 (about $46,000 Canadian) worth of damage and could face a hefty bill for her neglect.

The owners of the Cotton Bay apartment complex allegedly found the apartment in a state of disarray, complete with broken furniture, wrecked plumbing and cigarette burns.

"There were cigarette burns in the sofa, broken beds, smashed chandeliers, cracked mirrors, and all the plumbing was blocked," a source told British rag mag Daily Star.

Maybe Winehouse tried to comb out her beehive in the shower?

Now that she's home, the "Rehab" singer hopes to spend her time putting the finishing touches on her upcoming record label, Lioness, and working on music with her god-daughter, 13-year-old Dionne Bromfield.

Winehouse is scheduled to appear in court later this month on charges of common assault, relating to an incident at last September's End Of Summer Ball.
