McCartney Signs Fan's Arm For Tattoo

Paul McCartney has seen thousands of homemade signs in his career, but one during a concert last Saturday night in Halifax definitely caught his attention.

California native Audrey McComb, 19, held up a sign near the front of the stage asking, "Will you sign my arm so I can get it tattooed?" according to the Halifax Chronicle-Herald.

"I mean you try not to look at it, you try to think of the song and everything but you can’t avoid that," McCartney said after he saw the sign, and then invited McCombs — who flew in just for the show — on stage so he could autograph her upper left arm.

"You better get it done now!" McCartney said after McCombs left the stage.

"I just hugged him. I could have stayed there forever," McCombs told the Halifax newspaper. "Being that close to someone who has influenced me more than anybody is the greatest feeling."

McCombs returned to California the following day and got the tattoo that afternoon. A photo of the finished piece can be found here.
