Islands Touring With Happy Mondays

Montreal's Islands will tour the U.S. this summer and fall, and are scheduled to play a set of dates supporting legendary Brit rockers Happy Mondays and The Psychedelic Furs.

Islands' third studio album, Vapours, the follow-up to 2008's Arm's Way, drops Sept. 22 through Anti-.

Happy Mondays formed in 1980 and disbanded in 1993. The Madchester band reformed briefly from 1999 to 2000 with a new lineup, then again in 2004 with current members Shaun Ryder, Mark "Bez" Berry and Gary Whelan. They released their fifth studio album, Uncle Dysfunktional, in 2007.
