Kings Of Leon Diss Americans

According to Kings Of Leon drummer Nathan Followill, Americans are clueless when it comes to quality music.

"Americans don't appreciate decent music," the arena rocker says in a Contact Music article.

"Most music gets ignored in the States unless it's hip-hop or Hannah Montana or Disney music like the Jonas Brothers. Kiddy pop or hip-hop, that's pretty much what America is. You may turn on the radio and you hear maybe one out of 10 songs that you'd consider decent."

I don't know about that, Nathan — have you heard Miley's latest single? That shit is gold!

Kings Of Leon have been hugely successful in the UK and in Europe at large, but despite their fame the band have yet to reach the same level of popularity in their home country.

"The UK is more open to all kinds of music. The fans are just insane in the UK — they are music lovers. You have kids going to shows to see the bands, not going to a show to be seen there," said Followill.

Is that bitterness I sense?
