Pixies 'Doolittle' Tour In Fall

Pixies
Pixies will tour the U.S. this fall to play their 1989 Doolittle album in its entirety, and one of those shows could happen in Montreal.

Frontman Frank Black told Spin.com he and singer/bassist Kim Deal, guitarist Joey Santiago and drummer David Lovering will celebrate the classic indie rock disc's 20th anniversary and the upcoming Minotaur box set — which will contain all the band's studio albums — with a fall tour. They'll play Doolittle in entirety in Los Angeles, Oakland, Calif., Denver, Chicago, Washington D.C., New York City, the band's hometown of Boston and "maybe Montreal."

No dates have been set yet, but Black told Spin.com the band were playing Boston's Wang Center. The dates will come after the Pixies play a similar tour in Europe this October.

Black also said a similar tour to mark the 20th anniversary of 1990's Bossanova could happen next year.
