Mastodon Get Own Beer

Let's be honest: You're probably more likely to take illegal substances while you listen to Mastodon. But Mastodon and their crew had the opportunity to get shitfaced legally while they were playing the recent Sonisphere stop in Hockenheim, Germany on Saturday.

Stephan Michel of Mahr's Brau brewery created a limited edition Mastodon Premium Lager that was handed out to Mastodon and their crew at the show. They were reportedly "swallowing [the beers] like they were going out of fashion," according to the Sonisphere website. Only 200 bottles were made, so if you somehow get a hold of one, you should hang onto it seeing as it's now a collector's item.

It's really too bad this wasn't more readily available because what a great opportunity it would have been to show off your nerd cred by drinking Mastodon beer while wearing a Mastodon shirt and shoes. Um...
