Wentz On Every Time I Die Album

Every Time I Die

Pete Wentz recently took some time away from his Twitter war with Perez Hilton to record with hardcore four-piece Every Time I Die. He provides guest vocals on the band's upcoming album, New Junk Aesthetic.

"Just laid down some vox on @etidwastaken record," the Fall Out Boy bassist wrote in a June 27 Tweet. "Hopefully I didn't ruin it. Sorry if I did dudes(dudesinthebandnotinternetdudesthathateme)."

According to Every Time I Die's Twitter, Wentz has no reason to apologize — the Buffalo band replied "@petewentz killed it. Love that dude."

The Bronx lead vocalist Matt Caughthran and Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Greg Puciato also lent their vocals to the album. They appear "The Sweet Life" and "The Marvelous Slut," respectively. You can hear the latter track here. Every Time I Die enlisted My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way as a guest vocalist on 2005's Gutter Phenomenon.

New Junk Aesthetic
is the follow-up to the Buffalo, N.Y. band's 2007 release, The Big Dirty, and will be released Sept. 14 through Epitaph. The 11-track album will be reissued later this year as a deluxe edition with two additional songs. Every Time I Die are scheduled to perform on Ojibway Island in Saginaw, Mich. on Aug. 22.

In related Every Time I Die news, metal forum Lambgoat reports drummer Mike "Ratboy" Novak has left the band.

"I have officially quit Every Time I Die due to personal conflicts," Novak said in a message to the forum. "I fell like im getting myself out of an uncomfortable, unhealthy situation, and it's for the best for everyone, and I'm ready to move on with my life.

"I still plan to play and be involved in music and am looking for a new project to pursue. This is a new exciting chapter in my life and hope anyone who has enjoyed me as a person/drummer in this band for the last 11 years, sticks with me for whatever endeavor the future brings me. Thanks to all the ETID fans throughout the years."

The band have not yet issued a statement regarding Novak's departure.
