VFest BC Adds Roots, Five Others

The Roots, Broken Social Scene, Metric, former Canadian Idol contestant Carly Rae Jepsen and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros have been added the Virgin Festival BC lineup.

The Roots will headline the festival on July 25 and Broken Social Scene and Chris Velan will play the same day. Metric, Jepsen and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes will appear on the following day.

Tickets are still on sale for the two-day festival, which will take place at Deer Lake Park near Vancouver. Day passes will run you $72.50, while weekend passes cost $135. If you want to get better treatment and purchase a VIP weekend pass, it will cost you $300.

The inaugural Virgin Festival Montreal was held last weekend. Virgin Festivals will also be held in Halifax, Calgary and Ontario (presumably Toronto, though there are rumours of Orillia) this year. The lineups for Calgary and Toronto are expected to be announced soon.
