Broken Social Scene's Kevin Drew is among those who will appear on the upcoming album by Spiral Stairs, who's probably better known as former Pavement guitarist Scott Kannberg.
Kannberg started recording The Real Feel, which is due out Oct. 20, at the end of 2008 in Seattle. He brought Drew, guitarist Ian Moore, Geresey and members of Preston School Of Industry, his post-Pavement band, into the studio to help him. The disc was mixed by The Posies' Jon Auer. You can hear "Maltese Terrier" here.
The vinyl edition of The Real Feel will feature a different track order and will also come with a limited edition bonus seven-inch. No track listing has been revealed for either version of the album, though.
Kannberg began recording as Preston School Of Industry after Pavement broke up, and his Goodbye To The Edge City EP came out in 2001. His All This Sounds Gas debut album came out the same year, and was followed by Monsoon three years later.
