Jim James' George Harrison Tribute Coming

My Morning Jacket singer/guitarist Jim James will release Tribute To, a six-song EP of George Harrison covers under the moniker Yim Yames, through ATO Records on Aug. 4.

James (or Yames?) recorded the tracks on Tribute To after Harrison's death from cancer in 2001. Four of the tracks are from All Things Must Pass, Harrison's 1970 solo album, while two of them are Beatles tunes Harrison wrote. You can hear "Behind That Locked Door" at Yames' website.

Fans will be able to buy digital downloads of the EP on July 7 and will also be able to pre-order the CD and limited edition vinyl the same day. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Woodstock Animal Sanctuary, which shelters abused, neglected and abandoned animals.
