Perez Hilton claims the
Black Eyed Peas' manager went all "Boom Boom Pow" on him and left him bleeding outside a Toronto club at a MuchMusic Video Awards after-party last night.
Hilton (real name
Mario Lavandeira) wrote on his
Twitter early this morning the Black Eyed Peas'
Will.I.Am (real name
William Adams) and his security guards had assaulted him. He
wrote that he was "bleeding" and needed to "file a police report." He also asked his followers to call the Toronto Police and get them to come to his hotel room.
Toronto police have since told the
National Post newspaper and CTV News that a man has been arrested and charged in the case, but it isn't Will.I.Am.
Hilton has since released a video statement about the incident.
"What happened to me in Toronto happened to me as a human being and it should not happen to anyone," he says in the video, which can be seen on his
website. "Violence is never the answer. Ever. No matter what anyone says. Blood should never be drawn. Another person should never be hurt. That's why people die."
Hilton, who was in town to present an award at the MMVAs, went to the dress rehearsal on Saturday night with MMVAs performer Lady GaGa. Hilton says Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie approached him and asked him why he was "being mean" and "being angry" at the Black Eyed Peas on his website. He replied that the new Black Eyed Peas single, "Boom Boom Pow," had grown on him.
Hilton claims Will.I.Am then approached him and asked him ("very aggressively") to never write about Black Eyed Peas on his website again. Hilton said he wouldn't and because Will.I.Am was so "aggressive" he says he called the rapper a "faggot." He also claims he was assaulted by Will.I.Am's manager, who "clocked" him in the eye "two or three times."
"I'm a big boy. I dish it. I can take it," he says.
"I've been doing this for five years now and nothing like this has ever happened to me. I've had people scream at me, I've had people write things on other nasty blogs, I've had people sue me. But I've never had someone attack me like this."
He also alleges Will.I.Am. was lying in a series or videos the rapper posted to his DipDive account earlier today and says Will.I.Am followed him back to his hotel.
Will.I.Am. linked to the videos on his
Twitter, which he says he started last night "because it isn't cool for someone to blame you and blast you with lies." In the first
video, Will.I.Am. confirms Fergie approached Hilton and asked him why he was "disrespecting" her. He says Hilton said he didn't like the new Black Eyed Peas record, and then began being rude and disrespectful to Fergie, who told Will.i.am. about the incident.
Will.I.Am. claims he sought Hilton out afterwards and asked him not to be "blatantly rude," to which he says Hilton said he didn't respect him and also says the openly gay blogger called him a "faggot." The rapper claims some Black Eyed Peas heard the remark and got "all crazy and start[ed] some stuff" with Hilton.
In the
second of the two videos, the rapper claims he was next to Hilton by a tree and says the blogger was not assaulted.
"Instead of calling the police, you Twitted that I assaulted you," he says. "Sounds like somebody wants mad attention and is not really concerned about his health. I didn't hit you, and this is very wrong that you are Twitting that I did that, once again disrespecting me and everything that I stand for, and they're lies and that's wrong. Shame on you, shame on your behaviour and that's just messed up."
Molina Liborio, 36, from California, faces one count of assault in connection with the incident. He is due in court on Aug. 5.

Being a celebrity really is like being stuck in high school, isn't it?
