Modest Mouse have announced a North American summer tour.
Singer/guitarist Isaac Brock, bassist Eric Judy, touring guitarist and former Grandaddy member Jim Fairchild, multi-instrumentalist Tom Peloso and percussionist Joe Plummer will tour the continent throughout August and September. Fairchild will be filling in for guitarist Johnny Marr, who's recording with his other band, The Cribs.
Four Canadian dates are on the itinerary. The bands will play shows in Halifax, Montreal, Quebec, Toronto and Kingston, Ont.
Modest Mouse will release a new seven-inch single, "Autumn Beds"/"Guilty Cocker Spaniels," to independent record stores on Saturday and everywhere else on Tuesday. You can hear "Autumn Leaves"

Modest Mouse have been recording new material and are tentatively scheduled to release an
EP titled
No One's First And You're Next at some point in August. It doesn't have a release date yet.
