Fucked Up Ice Cream Giveaway

Fucked Up vocalist Damian "Pink Eyes" Abraham will be attending a number of events around Toronto this week, and will even be handing out ice cream at the corner of Queen and John streets on Sunday.

That means beginning at 1 p.m., if you're waiting in line (or a crush of people, more likely) for the MuchMusic Video Awards, you'll be able to get some relief from the heat thanks to some delicious, delicious ice cream. That's providing you can get out of the crush of people around you to get it, of course.

There's no other information available about the event.

Pink Eyes will also be DJ-ing at the Drake tonight as part of the City Sonic launch party.

"I can assure you that what I lack in technical aptitude [as a DJ] I more than make up for in obscurity of the stuff of what I'm playing," Pink Eyes wrote on his blog on Monday. "I can safely say with the exception of one or two crowd pleasers (ie. songs for the poseurs) none of this stuff has ever been playing in a DJ set in Toronto.

"What does this all mean? Well, most probably that no one will be dancing (or paying very much attention). I'm listening to records now and planning it out and it will be very power-pop/poppy-punk heavy."

Pink Eyes will also host the North By Northeast show at Yonge-Dundas Square on Thursday which features Black Lips and Melissa Auf Der Maur.

"Why am I doing this you might ask? I am broke and hate tel-a-marketing and these people have been nice enough to invite me to do stuff for them and for that I thank them," he wrote.

Fucked Up are taking a brief break from touring, but will return to the road later this month. Here are their upcoming dates:
