Pop Montreal Initial Lineup Announced

The first round of headliners for this year's Pop Montreal festival, which will take place from Sept. 30 to Oct. 4, have been announced.

The genre-spanning lineup for this year's Pop Montreal festival will feature Butthole Surfers, Dinosaur Jr., Buffy Sainte-Marie, Lou Barlow + The Missingmen, Fever Ray, Faust, Diamanda Galas, Os Mutantes and Roxanne Shante.

Additional performers confirmed for the festival include Amy Millan, (Ghislain) Poirier and Matt & Kim. Hundreds more performers will be announced in the near future.

The festival takes place from Sept. 30 to Oct. 4 at venues throughout Montreal. Super Passes, which get you priority access at Pop Montreal, are on sale now for an early bird price of $175 until Aug. 31. Other passes will be on sale shortly. 

Pop Montreal will also host the Film POP and Art Pop events, a craft fair (Puces POP), and a symposium with workshops and talks given by Sainte-Marie, Faust, Galas, Shante and more. Festival attendees will also enjoy parties, barbeques and bike rental services.
