A
Green Day version of
Rock Band could follow The Beatles edition that will come out in September.
Singer/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong told Los Angeles radio station KROQ that the band were working on a Green Day version of the game, but he doesn't know when it will come out.
"I'm not sure... soon," Armstrong was asked about the potential project's release. "Like I think not this week, but this year soon... by the end of this year."
MTV Multiplayer hunted down Harmonix spokesperson John Drake, who dodged the question and then had this to say about whether there would ever be a Green Day version of
Rock Band:
"Green Day's really, really great! Wouldn't you love to see Green Day in
Rock Band? I would also love to see Green Day in
Rock Band! Hopefully we'll have some official news soon!"
